Meet the team

Meet Rob, our new Software Trainer/Consultant. He’s recently joined the team and will be supporting our customers to ensure they get the most from RotaMaster.

  • What attracted you to joining the team at RotaMaster?

Having previously worked for large multinationals that tend to put customers near the bottom of their priority list, I needed to move to an organisation where I felt like I could directly impact the service that customers received. RotaMaster has a fantastic customer base, and we’re growing all the time – it’s great to be a genuine part of that.

  • What did you in your previous role(s)?

In my most recent previous role I was a consultant on the MoD’s DFTS project in BT. The role involved managing incidents on the MoD’s cyber-security service, managing large change projects and advising on the best way to reduce the threat of various cyber-attacks.

  • How have you found your first couple of months?

It has been fantastic. I’ve met some great people already, been to some lovely parts of the country and I feel like I’m well placed to help make the experience of being a RotaMaster customer a good one!

  • What has been your highlight so far?

I’ve enjoyed travelling to our customers’ sites and learning a little more about what they do. Working with mainly healthcare organisations, it’s fascinating to see how healthcare is transforming at the moment.

  • What do you like to do outside of work?

I’m lucky enough to be married with a baby on the way – so plenty of my time is taken up buying prams and the like at the moment! I also play in a band and love football (Liverpool, if you’re asking!).

  • What is your favourite place or thing to do in Yorkshire? (Please note advertisement here to all our non-Yorkshire based customers!)

We’ve got the greatest city in the country – Leeds. You can have any kind of day or night out in Leeds that you want without the mania of London. Museums, restaurants, shopping centres (visit Trinity if you get chance!), bars and clubs!

  • What are you looking forward to in the future in your role?

I’m excited to see what the next year brings. As RotaMaster grows, so do our customer requirements and I have a key role to play in making sure that we meet those.

  • What are your future goals or plans outside of work?

I think the next five years or so will be concentrated on making sure that I keep my (soon-to-be) child on the straight and narrow!
